Nicole Hansen
Nicole is a principal artist and founder of Ultraviolet Stained Glass, a custom architectural stained glass studio now based in Portland after years of practice in Bisbee, Arizona. Returning to her hometown in 2024, she brought with her a deep commitment to both honoring Portland's architectural heritage and advancing the art of stained glass in the contemporary landscape.

Grounded in classical European training and historic trade standards, Nicole's practice centers on original, site-specific designs for residential and public spaces. Her work reflects countless hours of study - including recent advanced training with world-renowned artist Debora Coombs and stained glass painting techniques learned directly from Sophie D'Souza in London. In 2024, Nicole received the prestigious American Glass Guild James A. Whitney

Scholarship in recognition of her artistry and dedication to the craft.

Beyond her studio work, Nicole is actively building community among Portland's glass artists through a monthly meetup she hosts, fostering mentorship, peer collaboration, and a new generation of stained glass craftspeople. She is a member of the American Glass Guild and The Stained Glass Association of America.
