What People Are Saying...
"Kate and Mitchell Powell worked with great care and expertise on our antique Berkey and Gay oak dining room set, which is over 100 years old. We had 12 pieces restored, including a very large dining room table, eight chairs, a large buffet, a credenza and side board with mirror. The Powell's' understanding of our pieces, the need for special handling in some cases and their attention to detail was exceptional. The comprehensive restoration process has really brought our furniture back to life. It now has a vibrant, beautiful patina, and we are elated with the results."
— Jeanne S., Portland, Oregon

— Mary M., NPS Curator
“Mitchell and Kate did a fabulous restoration on my Arne Jacobson Ant chairs and Drop Leaf Table from the 1950's. They were able to restore my museum quality furniture back to its original quality. I was referred by the Portland Art Museum and their reference gave me the confidence I was looking for."
— Harriet M., Portland Oregon
“Katie and Mitchell provide outstanding service. The world of antiques can be intimidating. Watching Mitchell unwind the mysteries of an item that is 100 - 200 years old is simply fascinating. Katie's artistic talents have improved several pieces of furniture in my collection. Their recommendations and insights have given me a new appreciation for my antiques. I will use them again and recommend their services over and over."
— Brigitte G., Portland, Oregon
“Mitchell and Katie did a fantastic job on my Art Deco sofa and matching chairs, from helping pick out exactly the right fabric to adding beautiful finishing details. Their knowledge of the Art Deco period showed in their historically accurate yet modern approach to rebuilding and upholstering these heirloom pieces. Mitchell's work was artistic and meticulous."
— Marilyn J., Seattle, Washington
“Mitchell did the most wonderful job of restoring my badly beaten Paulin chairs. He found a proper replacement fabric, and took them down to their frames in order to repair the uncomfortable seats in a way that preserves their integrity. They are comfy again!"
— Judy P., Ashland, Oregon
