Mary McMurray is an artist whose love of color and architectural design led her to create her business, Art First Colors for Architecture, thirty years ago. Mary improves both new and historic properties with customized interior and exterior color design for paint and other materials. A color expert in the field of historic preservation, Mary has overseen the restoration of many significant buildings with appropriate color designs: notably, the interior and exterior of both The Hollywood Theatre and The Old Church, in Portland. Through scientific analysis, Mary discovered the original paint colors for the Captain Flavel House Museum in Astoria and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Gordon House in Silverton. Her talents are sought by clients in many States, with whom she works at a distance by email and phone.
